With a relentless work ethic and a passion for the sport that’s second to none, George has poured his blood, sweat and tears into building a team that reflects his own grit and determination. Known for his larger-than-life personality, George is as tough as they come. His grizzled demeanor and sharp wit make him a beloved figure in the racing community. Yet despite the rough edges, his commitment to his drivers is unwavering. He’s not just teaching them how to race; he’s teaching them how to win, on and off the track.
At the track, George is a fixture, always cruising around in his custom golf cart, which is as iconic as the man himself. Whether it’s lending a competitor a part, offering tuning advice or sharing a story from his racing days, George’s presence is felt by everyone. But despite his gritty exterior, he’s the first to step in when someone needs help, embodying the camaraderie that the racing community thrives on. For George, it isn’t just about his team. His wife, Pat, is the heart of it all, keeping things running smoothly while making sure everyone who walks through the door feels like family. She’s seen it all: the late nights, the impossible rebuilds, the heartbreaks and the victories. Through it all, she is George’s rock. Together they’ve built something bigger than a team or a shop; they’ve built a legacy.

Artine Agazarian’s life began amid poverty and turmoil in the war-torn Middle East. As a young boy he didn’t have the luxury of big dreams, focusing instead on surviving each day. His early years were marked by unimaginable hardships, enduring life-altering near-death experiences, including being shot by a tank and then later being forced to serve in the PLO Army, operating the same type of tank that almost took his life years earlier. Artine also faced grueling conditions in an Israeli prison, despite having committed no crime, an ordeal that tested his resilience. Through it all Artine remained true to himself, he never gave up, always taking the next step towards freedom without compromising his character.
Even in such hostile surroundings, Artine developed a deep appreciation for subtle flavors and culinary delights. He was always grateful for the opportunity to try a new dish, eager to let his pallet learn. Arti knows what he likes. He is a man of few words, but he will never hesitate to tell you exactly what he thinks, good or bad. He doesn’t hold back. If you’re present and engaged, expect a memorable encounter every time you are in his shop. If you’re busy staring at your phone, he may decide not to serve you at all.
When he later moved to Canada, he found himself facing a new world of challenges as an immigrant, adapting to a different culture and language while striving to build a future. Drawing on the resilience forged through his past, Artine built Viva Java, a thriving coffee business that reflects his passion and perseverance. His unique roasting techniques and dedication to quality have earned him a loyal following, with customers who appreciate not only his coffee but his inspiring journey. Artine’s story is a powerful testament to the strength of the human spirit, showing that with courage and resilience, even the most difficult path can lead to success.
